The shoulder shell is back! Truth is, I missed drawing it and even though I designed them, I ended up REALLY not liking the new spaulders. This entire strip seems like it's tailor-made to have Yakkity Sax played in the background. Now all we need is Benny Hill coming over the next sand dune...

Oh, good Lord! You are so right! I had to click the link to make sure I was on the same page (Benny Hill). Now, I have that playing in my head which is extremely hysterical.

Why not Benny Hill,… I mean earlier you had a pop reference from the 50s,…and Benny Hill is the 60s [I think,…sadly while I do love old movies and such I was not born till 76 so the stuff I watch is always re-runs,…lol]
@FSilvermane The reason you prefer the older stuff is probably because the stuff being made now is suffering from the same problem that the acting profession had when motion pictures came into existence.
New technology suddenly allows things that couldn’t be done before to be possible and the directors become obsessed with it and forget the important basics like having a good story. After a while the newness will wear off and shows will stop being a series of special effect sequences and have stories again.
Story is and always will be king. Sad to say some directors forget this. Not to insult any artist, but it could be stick figures so long as there is a good story to be told.

@Anthelion: You’re assuming that there were only two raptors. Figure it took a week for the big raptor to notice that the numbers of the smaller ones were thinning out – they are birds, after all, and not terribly bright. Besides, Dhur and Ch’p were there for weeks, the guys had to eat something! 🙂
