For those of you in the U.S. who aren't familiar with it, the cyclops prosecutor is wearing a barrister's wig, common in the UK. Why did I put him in a barrister's wig? I felt like it. :)
Anyway, a brief little bit about true names: in many cultures, there is the name that your parents gave you and then there is your true name, which only you know and should anyone learn your true name, it would give them power over you. Knowing the true name of The Lady of Blave, mistress of Scrybl who is feared by gods... yeah. Chew on that one. :)

Just writing to say I got my copy of “Against the Gravel Giants”. Awesome book, I particularly liked the character profiles you had in the back. But, I couldn’t help noticing that in Dhur’s profile you left out his Craft (knitting) skill, I was wondering if that was deliberate on your part, or just an oversight?

Still looking for any blatant Terry Pratchett homages – I can’t believe a chap like you has never come across Discworld! (hoping none have passed me by during this archive-binge). The Discworld is too good not to homage, and Terry Pratchett keeps (sadly now, kept) his lawyers on a tighter restraining leash with muzzles, unlike JRR’s.
