626 – “…Or was it ‘The Goats,’ plural?”

Nothing like having a little... leverage on a scumbag. :)

Often, when I write my characters, I hear their voices in my head. I've talked about this before. I used to hear either Billy Bob Thornton's character from Sling Blade or Yosemite Sam when I wrote Carl, but now? Now, I hear Michael Rooker's voice as Yondu in Guardians of the Galaxy. Still very redneck-y, though.

Take care,

  1. It’s a goat in a coat that causes Captain Direrocks’ boat to float. It’s a goat in a gi that causes him to flee.

  2. Heh. Once the bar burned down and after finding out that Carl was the head of the crew that kidnapped Dhur and Co, I forgot that Carl was the captain that they were supposed contact and involved with the goat.

@SGT Lewis, you probably want replace flee with go whee! Scans better with the intent of the whole song. :/

  3. So he was the Bastard that cursed the Cubbies all those years ago! Well, laddie, the curse is broken and things are not looking go for you. Told everyone we should have burned down that tavern long ago!
