One of the problems with having ADHD is that when there is a great deal of noise in a room, I can't seem to write easily. Unless it's writing about ADHD, I guess. My kids are watching The Cat In The Hat Knows A Lot About That on PBS and between their laughing and Martin Short's over-the-top vocal performance as The Cat, I have had to stop and restart writing this blog pots four times now, until I remembered that I have a link to a YouTube 24-hours long clip of the USS Enterprise's engine noise. Very good white noise for me and now I can think. For a while anyway.
WEIGHT UPDATE: As I mentioned last week, my wife and started the “Choose to Lose” diet and exercise program used by Chris Powell of Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss edition. This past Saturday was our second official weigh-in. Here’s how I did:

CURRENT WEIGHT: 279.0 lbs.
WEIGHT LOST: -5.8 lbs.
See you all Wednesday!

Congratulations on the weight loss. You can do this, this time next year you’ll be around 205 lbs. Bit of good news for fellow trekkers/trekkies. Next Gen cast is going to be at the Wizard World, Austin, comic con. 26-28 Oct.
Man, that’s terrific! Six pounds in a week is a nice, steady rate.
In my own sort of update, I completely quit sodas. I have switched to one sugar free rockstar a day (20 calories per can) for the caffeine kick in the morning and straight ol’ water (with a tiny pinch of salt in) for the remainder. So far, it’s working! If you drink a lot of soda, maybe it can work for you too.
Woot i found this comic last knight and i just got to the current comic today. The chars are great cant wait to see what happens.
Glad you found this comic jimmy. It’s one of the better ones so far as the story goes.
Just found you from an ad on Geeks: the Comic Strip! Today’s strip showed such promise that I immediately started at the beginning and read up to the present. A wonderful and rewarding read! Thank you! Of course, now I have to adjust to waiting for updates! 😛 And I have to save some pennies to eventually catch up on my finances enough to buy your book(s).
Also good luck on your weight loss challenge! A little over a year ago, I was diagnosed as having type 2 diabetes. I bought a bicycle and started using it for all my transportation needs. (Unfortunately, not practical when you have a family, but it’s been working for me!) I have not been reliably tracking my weight loss, because my weight wasn’t going down that much. I was losing fat and gaining muscle. I’ve lost two pant sizes and one shirt size. The muscles that I already had are becoming firmer and tighter, so I’m feeling pretty good about my progress. My doctor says that the charts say I needed to lose 80 pounds. I’ll be happy to lose 50. I’ve lost 20 so far and seem to be slowly on my way. Good luck to you! May you experience the increase in energy and general good health that I have, so that you can be around and healthy for your wife and daughters for many years to come!
