UPDATE - 12/21/11 - Man, I thought I'd get more done than I did before I left town for Christmas, but I didn't. Mea Culpa. :( I just wanted to post a quick note to tell all of you Happy Holidays, whatever holiday that might be for you, and thanks for reading. I also have one request: if you like MeatShield and want to see it grow, post on Facebook about it, Tweet a link to the site, put up a forum post on whatever forums you post to anyway; essentially let people know about my little corner of the Interwebs. I'd consider it my Christmas present. :) Thanks, and see you all in the New Year! New cartoons on January 9th, 2012!

Few things hurt as bad as having the nerve in a cracked tooth get irritated and swollen. The only thing worse is watching someone you love go through it and be powerless to do anything about it. So, that's why there was no new strip yesterday. She's OK now, for the most part, although we have to wait until we get back from Texas to get it fixed for good.
Just a reminder, folks, that MeatShield will be going on hiatus until January 9th, starting tomorrow afternoon. I'll save the big holiday well-wishing for then.
Hasta!

I truly sympathize. Last january, I had an emergency tooth extraction 3 days before getting on a plane to leave the country for a month. Not fun.
This may sound a bit off but there is a stop-gap fix till you can get her to Dentist. Find a Health Food store or similar type and get a bottle of Clove oil,..also get cotton balls. Use maybe 1/3 of a cotton ball [does not take much] and put some of the clove oil on it,..place over the tooth and bite down on it for alteast 2-3 min. WARNING this will not taste very good [unless you like clove like me] and will burn a little [kinda like Sore Throat Spray] but it will do 2 big things,… 1 it will numb the nerve,..and 2 it will clean out any infection.
I feel your pain. One of my canine’s decidedd it wanted to start rotating agonizingly slow in place. Percocet is the only thing keeping me from getting a bottle of vodka and a pair of pliers to do something about it myself. I’d listen to Silvermane. Clove oil is the way to go. Clove cigarettes will cause the same numbness temporarily but won’t get rid of the infection.
Best wishes this weekend.
One up side of having tooth/teeth problems, it discourages you from eating too many holiday sweets. Sadly it limits what you want to eat and stay healthy.
If that castle strongholds’ door is any indicator, the Lich is a bit long in the tooth. Good luck getting him to stop talking.
Well, if he can’t stop talking, then they will beat him during his evil monologue. It will be easier that way.
