I have this picture in my head of the Nailmoor Town Council (all three of them) sitting around talking about how to revitalize Nailmoor:
“We need tourism money, how do we get it?
“I know! Open a visitor’s center and – are you ready for this – give balloons to the kids!”
“Dang, Fred, that’s a good idea!”
“Well, I did go to college.”
That brilliant idea would be followed by several rounds at the bar, like most town council decisions do, and magically, three years later, it gets done.
Like I said on Wednesday, I am taking next week off from strip updates, taking the time to be with my family over the Thanksgiving holiday week. Yep, my kids got the entire week off – thanks to California’s excellent public school budget (read: furlough days). I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and to my Canadian readers, I’m sure you had a great one last month (I forgot to mention it, so here’s a belated Happy Thanksgiving to you!).
Take care, everyone, and I’ll see you all again on November 29th!
