310 – We need to talk about your place in the organization

EDIT: Jeff, a frequent commenter, recently putย  Scepter Thingie on Goodreads.com, as you'll read in the comments below. Thanks, Jeff! Here's the link to GoodReads!

Did you know that today roughly marks my two-and-a- half year anniversary drawing MeatShield? Me either! I found that out when I updated my LinkedIn profile and it asked me how long I had been at my current job, which is drawing MeatShield, and they calculated it as being 2 1/2 years. Interesting, no?

I have a question for you all: what would you think of me making The Quest For the Scepter Thingie available as an e-book? I'm just starting to explore that idea and researching what would be involved. There would be all the same content as in the print version, alhtough since it wouldn't be a print version, it could be in color, since pixels is cheap.:) Let me know what you all think.

Hasta!

  1. Congrats on reaching the 2 1/2 year mark. By the way, The Quest for the Scepter Thingie is now listed on Goodreads.com. Thought you’d like to know.

  2. Offering The Quest for the Scepter Thingie as an e-book would be exceptionally cool to those of us who love to read but are trying not to let books take over their homes. I for one would buy it, even though I have read Meat Shield from day one (sorta… online archives are awesome!).

  3. Hi there; just found MeatShield, and I love it! Went through your entire archives in 1 day; hope you can manage to make the update schedule speed up just a BIT more ๐Ÿ™‚

However, you managed to keep me on comic #11 for no less than 15 minutes, giving new meaning to the phrase “laughing hysterically”. That was the single funniest panel I have ever seen, bar none. You have yourself a new fan! ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. Ebooks = good idea since it lets people who are impatient like me get the thing instantly! Also you might be able to put a link at the end to the online strip too, so readers who get hooked by the ebook will be able to continue the story here.
