Ugh.
After getting through one of the worst colds I've ever had as an adult last week and this week with the flu or stomach bug or whatever it was (I could give you the details, but you really don't want to know), I'm about done with being sick. Just thought I'd share that with you all.
I plan on having three comics up this week, but due to my having been sick, they may go up at odd times and not on the standard M-W-F schedule. I was reading a blog post the other day by Krishna Sadasivam at PC Weenies (another brilliant webcomic), where he has essentially forgone scheduled updates in favor of a set number of strips per week. My question to you all is, what do you think of this? I haven't committed to the idea yet, but the notion of not beating myself up every time I'm sick or miss a deadline by half an hour is appealing to me. Chime in with your opinions in the comments, if you would. :)
Two final notes for you all:

Spell ware updates are important. You don’t want to open one of those things and have it infected with demonic bugs.
As for the updates, a set number per week is not a bad idea. It gives you some breathing room and us an excuse to come back to your page more often.
Why not just do a month long experiment with the “X updates per week” method and see how it works? If you don’t like the results, then you can always change back.
I like the idea of x updates per week, but I realy like having updates on wednesday, its always a long day at work or school and its nice to get back and have a new comic to read. basicly if its still three updates per week and one (or more) is on wednesday then i am perfectly happy. only thing I can think of is that if you update more than one per day leave a note in the text block below the comic mentioning that there are two or three that day.
Eh, Safari works, and it’s great with the iOun operating system.
Is it just me or are her ears getting less pointy as time goes on? It’s like she’s got some degenerative cartilage disease or something…
@Silverwolf: Well, when the strip started, I thought that Jaine’s ears should be just as long as a full-blooded elf’s. However, over time, I began drawing them smaller and smaller until they are at the size you see now. You’ll notice in later strips that full-blooded elves still have the massively long and pointy ears, whereas Jaine’s are smaller on account of being a half-elf.
That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. 🙂
