Nice artifact, but looking to taverns for information about them seems futile. At best, I think, he would only be able to point him in the direction of someone who knows about such artifacts.
This is exactly the reason you need to be careful with your sources as an adventurer, they may be giving out information about you…

I thought he was looking for a magic chili pepper. (The Chili’s restaurants around here give out kids’ coloring pages with big chili peppers; I had a heartburn flashback.)
