Plus, Becky talks to her god and he talks back. She also has a puppy that has a history of eating entire inns.

I am off for the Lone Star State as of July 4th, so my daughters (in their first airplane ride ever) may get to watch the fireworks from above! I plan on keeping the strip updated while I’m away, so no worries there. However, since I won’t be writing one of these posts until after July 4th, Happy Independence Day, America!

Also, to all my Canadian friends, have a great Canada Day (July 1st)!

More to the point, Becky’s god talks to her and SHE talks back to him. As in she gives him back talk, for those still not catching it.

Kind of like the bit about the American, French and Spanish (the last two can be changed) talking about bravery, and then how each of their enlisted men respond to an order to jump into shark infested water. Note, this is about bravery, not intelligence.

Actually, my greater problem would be with the captain and master of a ship walking off from his helmsman duties while leaving a total landlubber like Jaine to steer the ship! ^_^;

Makes me wonder how long it will be before that ship becomes a shipwreck. >_>

I wonder if Becky has figured out how to make a zone of truth. Things could get even more dire for the captain if she did.

@Yakumo Your comment reminds me of a proverb. ‘There is a fine line between bravery and stupidity. Be careful not to cross it.’

@Towering Barbarian: He’s the captain, which remains, to this day, the closest thing to an Absolute Despot seen in this world.

Steering a boat that’s on a steady course is easy, provided you have a compass. You just turn the wheel towards (or the tiller against) your heading when it moves off the mark.
