394 – How does my hair look?

Just in case you were wondering, that music being whistled in today’s strip is real music – it’s part of this song, on account of the fact that I cannot write music myself to save my life. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hasta!

Music from Record of Lodoss War. Good choice. Add a touch of Escaflowne and you’re all set.

I remember that tune. Thanks for the reminder. I agree with Mike Lewis about Escaflowne as well. Time to watch that series again, I think.

Jaine shouldn’t worry about being in her underwear. The very first time she met her mom, she was naked. So this is a step up if you think about it.

Oh, good point, Mike Lewis.

I’m liking the punchline for a serious moment. It’s something that Girl Genius does, for example, and it’s a good mark of quality writing if you’re mixing comedy and drama in your work, IMVHO.

Oarboar: That’s high praise – Phil Foglio is a HUGE influence on me, going all the way back to the “What’s New with Phil and Dixie” strips in Dragon.

Hey, Rob? Um…how’s that new studio working out? We miss you when you’re not around! ๐Ÿ™‚

We miss you Rob!

Sorry about the absence, folks – I’m still here and working on the next strip – should be up by around 1:00PM PST. More to come in today’s blog post.
