But he might not know how to read a compass

Remember that a compass is what led Bluehand toward his destiny, even though he didn’t know what it was or how to use it. Dhur would probably be able to do something with one. We just don’t know what.

Hm… So he has no problem with landmarks but it’s directions, like northeast, that trip him up. Interesting.

I guess orientiering was not something he was ever taught.

I’d not be surprised if Jaine’s iOun has a mapping feature. My magic phone does, and it doesn’t have an “i” anywhere near its name ^_^.
