This goes to show you that everyone can have an emotional blindspot at one time or another. Fun fact: I didn't find out until long after I was happily married with children that a girl in high school that I thought was just a real good friend in fact had a crush on me. How do I know? Because I ran into her Christmas shopping one year and she told me so! I later asked my best friend if he knew about it and his response was, "Oh yeah, sure, it was obvious. Whatever happened with that, anyway?"
This brings up an interesting question: have you (or anyone you knew) had a character in a game fall in love with another character? If so, how did that go? I'm not talking about *ahem* intimate relations; I mean from an roleplaying standpoint, how did a romantic relationship between two characters (PC or NPC) play out?

Nah, but I had a PC fall in love with an NPC the GM was running. It was this whole big drama deal. She ended up pregnant by him, miscarried when he died, got pregnant by him again when he was resurrected. Talk about soap opera! LOL
Soap operas would be more interesting if they were placed in a fantasy setting. The writers could get more creative with ways to get rid of characters. Duels, enchantments, potions and transformations to name a few new ways to move the story along. The crazy cat lady is really a sorceress that turns her ex-lovers into cats kind of stuff.
Lots of romances, lots of times. Some feelings were returned, others were spurned. IMO any adventure is improved with romance. Now -sex-? That is a whole different kettle of fish … which can result in hours of hilarity!

This looks like how I generally handle romance… completely clueless until brought to the front, followed by a certain level of panic when it comes out… And not in-game, no, but when you have a guy who is playing as a tree frog ninja who hits on everything that moves, you can have some interesting times
