341 – Where’d YOU come from?!

The last part of this strip is almost autobiographical. πŸ™‚ My girls are like ninjas, sometimes.

OOH! Last weekend, I co-hosted the TGT Webcomics podcast with Kurt Sasso, where we interviewed Scott Christian Sava, the creator of the most excellent all-ages webcomic The Dreamland Chronicles!

Go check it out!

See you all Wednesday!

… Now my mind is trying to picture Ardris’s version of My Little Pony and what characters they’d play.

Why?! Why?!

Strykor on May 7, 2012 @ 10:53 pm

@Spammy the Wonder Mule – Because Rob loves to torment us like that. Thankfully I just use my recollection of 80 cartoon themes to act as a buffer, and Mighty Orbots has been playing a lot since reading the comic.

FSilvermane on May 7, 2012 @ 11:09 pm

Wait this is an elven child,..their version might be a shape change spell to turn INTO ponies,….or since this is again an Elven child maybe into Unicorns or flying Unicorns,..cause remember unlike little girls here they actually have such things there,…..

Stardrake on May 8, 2012 @ 2:12 am

Ssssssooo, Jaine has a (half-)SISTER.

Mike Lewis on May 8, 2012 @ 4:58 am

Might be an animation spell to use on inanimate pony dolls. It could also serve a purpose as a means to teach the youngsters how to control their magic on something that won’t destroy entire villages.

Brahmir The Bronze on May 8, 2012 @ 4:42 pm

..Dammit, The comments are filled with Bronys. Ah well. Live and let live, Right?

Anyway, Jaines got a sister, Does she? An elven Ninja, by the looks pf her.

Ooh, Unexpected Party member!

Im joking, of course.

FSilvermane on May 8, 2012 @ 11:00 pm

Whoa hey,… why you gotta go there Brahmir? Just because we [commenters] either have sisters or female cousins that played with MLP or are into horses does not make us Bronys,….lol

Maju on May 8, 2012 @ 11:01 pm

Does the fact that she speaks aloud when alone reflect Jaine’s human side? Or do elves do that often?

Rob on May 8, 2012 @ 11:34 pm

@Maju: Nah, that just means she’s Jaine. She’s like that. πŸ™‚
@Brahmir: Y’know, I still am not 100% clear on what makes someone a “brony”. I know that it’s a portmanteau of “bro” and “pony,” and that it involves guys who are fans of the My Little Pony show, but beyond that?
@FSilvermane: The thing to worry about is when they relaunch other 80’s kid shows that shouldn’t see the light of day again and then become insanely popular. I’m lookin’ at you, Rainbow Brite and Herself the Elf (I have two younger sisters, whaddaya want? πŸ˜‰

Spammy the Wonder Mule on May 9, 2012 @ 5:25 am

@Brahmir: Good. Use your aggressive feelings, boy. Let the hate flow through you.

Rob on May 9, 2012 @ 8:02 am

@Spammy: LOL!

Celestia's Paladin on May 9, 2012 @ 10:28 am

@Rob: Specifically a Brony is someone who is male and much older than the target demographic for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, the female equavlent is a Pegisister. Though Brony tends to be the generic name.

And yes I have the theme song going off in my head… and now I thinking she has a Alicorn as a pet, darn you F Silvermane

FSilvermane on May 9, 2012 @ 10:31 am

@Rob
Speak not the name for speaking it may very well cause it to come to pass,….lol. And thanks to you [and having only girls in my neighborhood as a child] all I can hear is the Rainbow Brite song,..arrrrrgh,…. must find something else to run endlessly through my head today,……arrrrghhhh
